W. D. “Dwight” McComb earned an engineering degree before deciding that a career in medicine was his true calling. After practicing medicine for ten years, he began writing and hasn't stopped. His conviction to write clean, compelling fiction without sacrificing authenticity has never wavered.

His widely acclaimed debut novel, The Truth That Lies Between, was a Serious Writer Book of the Year Finalist and a Readers' Favorite Award Finalist for Southern Fiction. Its follow-up, Anatomy of the Truth, is set to be released in late 2020.

Dwight continues to practice medicine in northeast Mississippi, where he lives with his wife and three children.
